Promoted-activity assessment
Advice tailored to the legal, documentary and implementation requirements relevant to promoted-activity assessment.

Corporate Law & M&A
Assess whether your project may qualify for promotion, prepare the application case and plan for the conditions that follow approval.
The legal position
BOI analysis begins with the proposed activity and the project's substance. Foreign-investor status alone does not determine whether a project qualifies.
The review should consider the relevant activity category, investment plan, technology or productivity elements, location, environmental matters and the applicable BOI announcement or statutory promotion measure.
A qualifying project may receive specified privileges, but the package is defined by the promoted activity, legal instrument and promotion certificate. No incentive should be treated as automatic.
A promoted foreign business may still need to address the Foreign Business Act, sector-specific licences, tax, customs, labour, immigration and other continuing requirements.
